Silva & Otero Take the Crown at Amsterdam 500 🏆

Male winners Amsterdam 500

The Amsterdam 500 delivered an intense weekend of indoor footvolley, with more than 20 teams gathering in the Dutch capital for the strongest event of the season so far.

Taking the title — and the full 500 League points — were Juan Silva and Rodrigo Otero. Last season’s number six and seven are a dupla everyone is watching for this season. Representing Politécnico do Porto, the pair played a composed and powerful tournament, establishing themselves as one of the teams to beat this year.

A big storyline of the tournament was the return of Michael Weber, who teamed up again with his brother Dennis Weber after a long knee injury. The brothers looked strong throughout the event, raising an exciting question for the rest of the season: could the Weber brothers become title contenders at every major tournament this year?

Third place went to Hertha Berlin, with Joel Nisslein — last season’s number one — this time partnering with Pedro Miranda.

One of the biggest surprises came from the young Swiss duo Louis Weckerle and Lenny Quintas from Basel footvolley, who finished an impressive 4th place. Their performance showed that the future of European footvolley is looking bright.

With Amsterdam Footvolley hosting a strong and well-organized event, the season continues to gain momentum.

Next stop: Barcelona 500 in Vilanova just outside Barcelona.

See you on the sand.
