Who can join a League of Champions tournament?

All players registered in a European footvolley club can join the League of Champions.

Is the League of Champions a club tour or a players' tour?

The League of Champions is both a club tour and a players' tour, with players earning points for their respective clubs and themselves.

How many clubs can I represent?

Players are allowed to represent in total 2 clubs every season in 1000 and 500 tournaments and any club in 100 tournaments.

Two teammates must represent the same club in 1000 and 500 tournaments. In 100 tournaments two teammates can represent two different clubs. Check out an examplification here.

What clubs can compete in the League of Champions?

All European clubs can compete in the League of Champions.

My footvolley club/school/movement is not registered as an official club in my home country – can we compete in League of Champions?

While we, of course, recommend on behalf of the sport that as many as possible register as official clubs, we understand that local circumstances can make this difficult. Therefore, clubs/schools/movements are allowed to compete in the League of Champions despite not being registered as an official club in their home country.

Can our club sign a foreign player for the League of Champions?

Yes! Your club can sign a foreign player. But every tournament team must consist of minimum 1 player who regularly plays and trains with the registered club.

I’m not the best player, can I still join the League of Champions?

Yes! All players are welcome in qualification tournaments. Every competing player will earn a minimum of 2 points for themselves and their club.

Can my tournament become a part of the League of Champions tour?

Yes! All European tournaments are welcome to join the League of Champions. Your tournament can be a 1000, 500, or 100 tournament. Do not hesitate to contact us.

Does it cost anything to make my tournament part of the tour?

No.

How do clubs and players qualify for the finals?

16 club teams qualify to the League of Champions finals. To qualify for the finals, both players and clubs must compete in at least one League of Champions tournament. Clubs can earn spots in the finals through the following:

Direct qualification
1: Winning a 1000 tournament.
2: Overall ranking.

Qualification tournament
3: Qualify through the Finals Qualification Tournament in Tenerife.

The 16 qualification spots to the finals will be given as follows:

A: Top Ranking Direct Qualification Spots (1-4): Awarded to the two best ranked club overall (two spots each)
B: Ranking Direct Qualification Spots (5-10): Awarded to the best ranked clubs until 12 teams are directly qualified (one spot each)
C: Winning Direct Qualification Spots (11-12): Awarded to winning clubs of each 1000 tournament.*
D: Qualification Spots (13-16): Awarded to 4 best teams in the Finals Qualification Tournament in Tenerife.

*Clubs can maximum qualify 2 teams directly to the finals. If a club wins a 1000 tournament and ranks as a top 2 club, the C: Winning Direct Qualification Spot is cancelled and will appear as an extra category B: Ranking Direct Qualification Spot.

Example:
Club X finishes as the top ranked club in Europe and wins a 1000 tournament:

A: Top Ranking Direct Qualification Spots awarded: 2
C: Winning Direct Qualification Spot awarded: 0

“Leftover spot” from category C will be transferred to category B: Ranking Direct Qualification Spots (now 5-11)

One club can qualify 3 or more teams via the Finals Qualification Tournament in Tenerife
