League of Champions organization

Our Vision: Footvolley Everywhere

League of Champions is built with the vision of Footvolley everywhere.
In cities and small towns, on squares and beaches, there should always be a ball in the air between new and old friends.

A Movement – Not a federation

League of Champions is organised not as a federation, but as a movement.

Anyone who wants to organise a League of Champions tournament is welcome to do so, as long as it lives up to the defined standards of one of three tournament formats and provides a safe environment for players, volunteers and sponsors.

Created by bolao sports

League of Champions is created by bolao sports, a company with more than a decade of love for the sport and experience in growing footvolley across Europe. It is this love for footvolley we wish for all people to experience and why we say “bring footvolley everywhere”.

With the League of Champions, bolao sports seeks to support local organisers and offers experience, visibility, network, inspiration, material and specific tools.

Respect for the local reality in a global complex world

We live in a time when the world is global and complex. Lines are being drawn – politically, culturally, emotionally. In this landscape, and in respect of organising footvolley as a movement, local organisers know the best about the local reality and are best positioned to make decisions on events where players, volunteers, and sponsors feel safe.

A new league navigating a complex world

The League of Champions is being built with open minds and open hearts. Footvolley everywhere means footvolley at the forefront, so more people can play, watch, and fall in love with this beautiful sport. But we’re navigating a complex world through voluntary forces, and there are no perfect maps. For the first time since the Yugoslavia war, Europe is shaping sports with active wars on the continent placing athletes, organizers, and fans in new and unfamiliar territory. As always when starting up new international concepts, dilemmas arise. These dilemmas are difficult to handle, so let’s learn as we go and experiment, adjust, and grow.
